The site encompasses nine islands, including the five uninhabited islands of the Tobago Cays, (Petit Bateau, Petit Rameau, Jamesby, Baradal, Petit Tabac) and the populated island of Mayreau as well as Catholic Island, Jondall and Mayreau Baleine. TCMP has a total area of 66 km2 which includes a large sand-bottom lagoon enclosed by the 4-km long Horseshoe Reef. Surrounding the islands are a series of beaches, reefs and shallows, including Egg Reef and World’s End Reef on the eastern side of the Cays and Mayreau Gardens to the west.
