Short Overview

At the southern end of the Kingstown Vegetable Market is a monument mounted on a granite pedestal, built of local stone in 1798. On it are inscribed the names of sixty-one Vincentian soldiers who died while fighting in World War I and four in World War II. This Cenotaph was unveiled on the 11th of November 1925 as a memorial to the brave men.
