Short Overview

This majestic two-story Georgian-style building was built around 1680, later destroyed by an earthquake in 1840 and restored by 1983. More importantly, the building is the known birthplace of one of the founding fathers of the United States. Alexander Hamilton. Today, it is home to one of the national museums, featuring artefacts that tell the tale of the inhabitants of Nevis; dating back approx. 4000 years ago. Apart from this, the Nevis House of Assembly can be located on the second floor.
