Daveniel Matthery is a young, vibrant and passionate woman who hails from the twin island state of Antigua and Barbuda. She prides herself as one who strives for excellence and endeavours to be positive in her outlook of life. Her many interests include reading, singing, dancing, writing and designing. As one of her aspirations is to become an entrepreneur, she carries a strong belief that a strong business is only as good as its customer base.
She endeavours to create a designing business that plans and executes designs to tell a story no matter the theme or idea given.Being an island girl, home is where the heart is and she hopes to create her business to be a regional household name. With this in mind she applied to be a part of the OECS YES Digital Internship Programme to gain more insight into the world of marketing. The internship paved a ground map in showing how one could use social media to promote a brand and create awareness for issues within the OECS region. During her internship she learned how to create various graphics and about social media being used as a platform for marketing besides personal use. It is a hope of hers that one day the region will join its resources and become stronger so that its citizens do not feel like there is a lack of opportunity in their region.
