Dominica is a volcanic island where you can still see geothermal activity in the form of hot sulphur water bubbling up at locations in the south of the island. Whilst the heat is a common feature of sulphur waters, the Cold Soufriere is one that breaks the rules and defies logic. Although the water in the pools is seen bubbling and the smell of sulphur is heavy in the air, the temperature of the water is cool or cold. A real experience!
