Mount Liamuigaformerly known as Mt. Misery is a 3792ft dormant volcano that occupies a northwesterly section of the Island. It has the tallest peak in the eastern Caribbean archipelago. Its last known recorded eruption was 1800 years ago. However historical accounts gave dates of eruptions in1692 and 1843. The volcano is covered by a lush rainforest that allows for hikes up to the peak’s summit and down into the crater.
