Although no one knows exactly how long rum has been produced on the original Arundel Estate, the Callwood family took over the distillery in the late 18th century and has been producing rum for over 200 years in what is claimed to be the longest continuously operated pot distillery in the Caribbean. This site features the original structure of a Sugar Cane distillery and produces rum in the same manner as it was done in the 18th and 19th centuries. Visitors to this rustic site can purchase samples of rum. The original boiler still operates and produces rum, which is then stored in original storage casks. The old guard house is also intact and has been turned into an art gallery and gift shop.
